Views of the 3rd Assembly District:
Butte County almond orchards are in bloom every spring. With nearly 40,000 acres of almonds orchards, almonds are the number one nut crop in the Butte County. Completed in 1968, Oroville Dam is the tallest earthen dam in the United States and provides essential water storage capacity for the state. Agriculture remains an integral part of the life and economy of Lassen County as well. Farming and ranching is a generational endeavor for many Lassen County residents.
