Features of the Second Assembly District:
The Cone & Kimball Clock Tower in the heart of Red Bluff, recently rebuilt after the historic original was destroyed in a fire, symbolizes the perseverance of the city’s residents and the community spirit of the area. The community worked together to reconstruct the clock tower, with area companies donating time and materials to the project and residents assisting in many ways. Agriculture is the backbone of California's economy, and nowhere is this more apparent than the North State. In early May, cropdusters can often be seen flying low as they spread rice seed across the fields. Mount Lassen, one of the most recognizable landmarks of the North State, is the Southernmost active volcano in the Cascade Mountains.
