California Historical Landmarks:
are buildings, structures, sites, or places that have statewide significance. The Golden Gate Bridge started in 1933 and completed in 1937 by engineer Joseph Strauss and architect Irving Morrow is an extraordinarily beautiful bridge with the greatest attention to artistic detail. This world renowned bridge's 4,200 feet of clear span (from tower to tower) was the longest in the world until 1959. Yosemite National Park, one of the first wilderness parks in the United States, is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, and vast wilderness area.

EducationAssemblymembers Alan Nakanishi (R-Lodi), Roger Niello (R-Fair Oaks), John J. Benoit (R-Riverside), and Rick Keene (R-Chico), hold a news conference to discuss school choice and their groundbreaking legislation this year to implement school choice for parents.

The discussion of school choice and the bills that have been introduced focus on the need to provide parents with a choice in their child's education. This is yet another important educational reform that can be enacted to change the way we do business in California.
