Where Do Your Tax Dollars Go?
Governor Brown's 2014-15 budget plan proposes more than $106 billion dollars in General Fund spending. The tax revenues to fund this government spending comes from a variety of sources. However, the main sources are: personal income taxes, sales and use taxes and corporation taxes.
